Make ahead Brooklyn-style pizza dough for New York's famous crust.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups bread flour, divided, or as needed
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
  • Mix 2 cups of bread flour, warm water, yeast, and salt in a bowl using an electric mixer with the dough hook until everything is blended and moist, approximately 2 minutes on low speed. Cover the bowl with a towel and allow the dough to double in volume in a warm place, about 20 minutes.
  • Mix the uncovered bowl ingredients with an electric mixer on low speed for about 5 minutes or until the dough comes together. Gradually add the remaining 1 cup of flour, stirring until a soft, sticky dough forms in 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Set the mixer to medium speed and mix until the dough cleanly pulls away from the sides of the bowl, approximately 8 minutes. Cover the bowl with a towel and allow it to rest for around 20 minutes.
  • Coat a plastic container evenly with olive oil.
  • Place dough on floured surface, knead until soft and slightly wet. Shape into a ball and place in container. Chill in the fridge for 1-7 days.
