Asian pear and honey glazed chicken breasts - a flavorful and easy skillet dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup chopped Asian pear
  • 0.25 onion
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, stemmed
  • 3 tablespoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon spicy yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or to taste
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon roasted sesame seeds, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Mix chicken with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, rice wine, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and black pepper in a large bowl. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to marinate.
  • Blend together the Asian pear, onion, jalapeno peppers, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, honey, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and mustard until smooth.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Cook chicken until nicely browned, around 5 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high, add sauce, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until flavors meld. Sprinkle with green onion and sesame seeds to garnish.
