Try a tasty and simple whole grain salad for your family.
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup uncooked bulgur
  • 1 large orange, peeled and chopped (3/4 cup)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 small tomato, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 3/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
  • 2 teaspoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Prepare bulgur according to package instructions, without adding salt. Combine bulgur and all remaining ingredients in a glass or plastic bowl.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for approximately 2 hours until cold.
