Create delicious, cheesy onion bread in a Bundt pan for a perfect side dish.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 0.25 cup warm water
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup hot water
  • 0.25 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 cup salted butter
  • 0.25 cup instant minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions:
  • Prepare the cookie sheet with a light coating of cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast with warm water. Add 2 cups of flour, hot water, milk, butter, sugar, egg, and salt. Mix on low speed until moist, then beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Fold in the rest of the flour by hand until a soft dough forms. Transfer the dough to a prepared cookie sheet, cover, and allow it to rise until it doubles in size, for about 45 to 60 minutes.
  • In a small saucepan, gently melt the butter. Remove from heat, then combine the onion, Parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, paprika, and garlic salt, mixing thoroughly.
  • Coat a fluted tube pan (like Bundt) with cooking spray.
  • Form golf ball-sized dough portions. Layer dough pieces in the pan, adding filling between each layer until all dough and filling are used. Cover with greased plastic wrap and allow to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bake in the oven until beautifully golden, about 30-35 minutes. Serve warm or let cool.
