Whip up adorable bunny and chick cookies for a delightful treat that everyone will love.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors yellow, pink and purple sugars
  • Red string licorice
  • M&M's® minis chocolate candies
  • Candy corn
  • White candy sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Simply mix the cookie mix, butter, egg, and flour in a medium bowl until a smooth dough forms.
  • For 12 chicks: Shape dough into 12 (1-inch) balls for bodies and 12 (1/2-inch) balls for heads. Coat all balls with yellow sugar. Place large balls on a baking sheet, then add small balls on top to create chick shapes. Insert licorice pieces for legs and a mini M&M's chocolate for eyes on each head. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until lightly golden. Quickly add candy corn for beaks. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire rack. Cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • For 12 bunnies: Set aside 1/4 cup of dough. Shape the rest of the dough into 12 (1-inch) balls for heads, then roll them in pink or purple sugar. Place the balls on an ungreased cookie sheet, flatten slightly. Use the reserved dough to shape bunny ears and cheeks, rolling them in sugar if desired. Arrange them on each cookie. Place 2 M&M's™ minis chocolate candies on each face for eyes and 1 baking bit for nose. Add white candy sprinkles on cheeks for whiskers. Bake at 350°F for 7 to 9 minutes until lightly golden brown. Cool for 1 minute before transferring to a wire rack. Let them cool completely for about 30 minutes before enjoying.
