Make an adorable bunny centerpiece with frozen bread dough for Easter.
Ingredients:
  • 2 loaves frozen bread dough (about 1 pound each), thawed
  • 2 sliced almonds, for the bunny teeth
  • 2 raisins or cranberries, for the bunny eyes
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Lettuce leaves, for decoration
  • Assorted sliced vegetables of your choice to arrange around the bread
  • 2 cups of your favorite dip
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Take one dough ball to shape the body and head of the bunny. Create a slightly larger oval for the body and a round shape for the head. Transfer them onto a greased baking pan.
  • Divide the remaining ball in half. Use one half to shape balls for the hands, feet, cheeks, and nose. Use the other half to create two ears.
  • Divide the dough into two pieces, roll them into tubes, shape them into floppy ears, and press them onto the head.
  • Coat the dough with the beaten egg.
  • Decorate dough face with raisin eyes and almond slice teeth.
  • Allow the dough to rest and rise for approximately 20 minutes prior to placing it in the oven.
  • Bake until bread is beautifully golden brown, for about 30 to 35 minutes. Cool after removing from oven.
  • Lay bread on a bed of fresh lettuce. Hollow out a bowl in the bunny's belly and fill with dip. Surround the bread with a colorful array of sliced vegetables such as carrots, celery, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
