Easy and moist butter cake, ideal for tea time.
Ingredients:
  • 250g Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • 8.80 gm vanilla essence
  • 3 eggs
  • 375.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 169.95 gm milk
  • Coles Soft Icing Mixture, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease and line an 8cm-deep, 19cm square cake pan with baking paper to prep for baking.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to beat butter, caster sugar, and vanilla on medium-high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Alternate adding flour and milk, stirring after each addition until fully combined. Repeat the process with remaining flour and milk.
  • Evenly distribute the mixture in the pan and bake for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy!
