Simple yet decadent buttery pecan cookies topped with a nutty twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.66666698455811 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1.5 cups pecan halves
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and egg until smooth. Gradually mix in flour and salt until fully combined. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before proceeding.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and space them 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Flatten each ball with a floured glass bottom and press a pecan into the top of each one.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
