Crispy golden calamari served with zesty lemon wedges for a delightful appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 12 squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
  • 1 lemon - cut into wedges, for garnish
Instructions:
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, oregano, and pepper. Coat the squid in the seasoned flour mixture.
  • Fry squid in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden. Be careful not to overcook to keep it tender. Drain on paper towels and serve with lemon wedges.
