Indulge in a delicious salty-sweet snack with popcorn, roasted peanuts, and milk chocolate.
Ingredients:
  • 16 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
Instructions:
  • Prepare cookie sheets by lightly coating them with a thin layer of butter or cooking spray.
  • Combine popcorn and peanuts in a paper bag, ready for use.
  • Combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 4 minutes until bubbly. Stir in baking soda, then pour over popcorn mixture and shake to coat evenly.
  • Fold the edges of the bag and microwave for 2 minutes, shaking three times to mix. Transfer the mixture onto prepared sheets to cool.
  • Combine the chocolate and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 90 seconds, stirring once, until melted. Drizzle the mixture over the popcorn and let it cool before serving.
