Elevate your chocolate chip cookies with espresso and cardamom for a flavorful twist. Thin and chewy, these cookies are ideal for pairing with your morning coffee.
Ingredients:
  • 3.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare 2 baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and whisk until well blended.
  • In a bowl, cream together brown sugar, butter, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in instant espresso powder and vanilla extract.
  • Combine the flour mixture with the butter mixture until just mixed; be careful not to overmix. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spoon the dough onto the baking sheets, making sure to leave 2 inches of space between each spoonful.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven until the edges are set, for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow them to cool on the pans for 2 to 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
