Indulge in a savory meatloaf blend of beef, pork, and veal, crowned with a savory bacon and Worcestershire sauce glaze. Perfect for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 lb ground veal
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cook bacon in a 10-inch skillet until crispy. Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain, saving 1 tablespoon of drippings in the skillet. Crumble the bacon and set aside. Sauté onion in the bacon drippings over medium heat until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine onion and the rest of the meatloaf ingredients, excluding the bacon, in a large bowl. Spray a broiler pan rack with cooking spray. Shape the mixture into a 10x5-inch loaf on the rack in the pan. Bake for 50 minutes.
  • Combine all topping ingredients in a small bowl, then spread over the top and sides of the loaf. Finish by sprinkling bacon on top.
  • Continue baking the loaf for an additional 20 to 25 minutes, or until a meat thermometer inserted in the center reads 160°F. Allow the loaf to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
