Irresistible, crowd-pleasing, carnivore-approved party favorite with a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and smoky flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 4 bratwurst
  • 3 (12 ounce) cans light beer
  • 5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 6 slices bacon, cut in half
Instructions:
  • Using a small fork, prick the bratwurst all over and place it in a saucepan with beer. Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower heat to medium and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the bratwurst from the beer and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with shiny aluminum foil and adding a wire rack on top.
  • Mix brown sugar and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Cut bratwurst into thirds, wrap each piece with bacon, and secure with toothpicks. Coat bratwurst with cayenne mixture and place on baking sheet.
  • Roast in a preheated oven until the bacon turns golden and crunchy, about 25 to 35 minutes.
