Bacon-wrapped chipolatas

Serve up delicious bacon-wrapped sausages as a perfect appetizer for your BBQ gathering.
Ingredients:
  • 24 chipolata sausages
  • 6 rashers rindless bacon
  • tomato relish, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, add chipolatas and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat and let sausages soak in water for 10 minutes. Drain before using.
  • Take each strip of bacon and cut it in half lengthwise, and then cut each half across the width. Proceed to wrap a piece of bacon around each chipolata and secure it in place using a toothpick.
  • Preheat the barbecue plate until it's sizzling hot. Grill the chipolatas for 2 to 3 minutes per side until they are golden and thoroughly heated. Discard the toothpicks, plate the sausages, and serve with a side of flavorful tomato relish.
