Spicy BBQ peppers, perfect for any gathering. Adjust heat by discarding seeds.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups corn oil
  • 2 cups cider vinegar
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 cups ketchup
  • 1 pound fresh jalapeno peppers, sliced into rings
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions:
  • Combine corn oil, cider vinegar, sugar, and ketchup in a large pot, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Bring to a boil, then stir in jalapeno peppers. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes, and season with oregano and garlic.
  • Carefully fill the sterile pint jars with the mixture, making sure to leave 1/4 inch of space at the top. Use a clean, dry towel to wipe the rims of the jars. Secure the lids tightly and process the jars in a hot water bath for 10 minutes to seal them. Any jars that do not seal should be refrigerated.
