Delicious gluten-free oat waffles with almond milk - a tasty twist on classic oatmeal!
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1.5 cups gluten-free rolled oats
  • 0.75 cup almond milk
  • 1 egg, at room temperature, separated
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat waffle iron following manufacturer's guidelines and lightly grease with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the oats and almond milk.
  • Combine the egg yolk and butter in a small bowl, then thoroughly mix it into the oat mixture.
  • Whisk egg white in a glass, metal, or ceramic bowl until stiff peaks form.
  • Mix the brown sugar and baking powder into the oats. Gently fold the beaten egg white into the batter.
  • Place a generous 1/2 cup of batter onto the hot iron, ensuring it spreads out to the edges. Close the iron and cook until the steaming stops, approximately 5 minutes. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
