Cheat’s chocolate-orange croissants recipe

Make a quick and decadent dessert in 15 minutes with top-notch shortcuts and toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 150g marzipan, coarsely grated
  • 20g unsalted butter, softened
  • 85g marmalade
  • 4 Bake At Home All Butter Croissants
  • 40.00 ml chocolate hazelnut spread
  • Orange marmalade, extra, to brush
  • 10.00 gm boiling water
  • 35g hazelnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. In a food processor, blend marzipan and butter until smooth. Mix in marmalade until well combined.
  • With a serrated knife, carefully split each croissant in half horizontally, leaving them connected. Spread the marzipan mixture on one side and add a generous teaspoon of hazelnut spread on top.
  • Place the croissants on the lined tray and bake for 8 minutes. Brush the tops with extra marmalade and bake for another 2 minutes, or until the croissants are golden.
  • Mix the rest of the hazelnut spread with boiling water in a small bowl, then pour it over the croissants. Top with chopped hazelnuts and serve right away.
