Savory stuffed mushroom caps with pecans, Cheddar cheese, and green onions - a delectable appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh button mushrooms
  • 1 cup finely chopped green onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Finely chop the mushroom stems after removing them.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over low heat. Brush mushroom caps with the melted butter and place on a baking sheet. Increase heat to medium; sauté chopped mushroom stems, green onion, and garlic in the remaining butter for 3 minutes. Stir in bread crumbs, Cheddar cheese, pecans, salt, and black pepper. Fill mushroom caps generously with stuffing, creating a tall pile.
  • Cook in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes until the stuffing is hot, cheese is melted, and mushrooms are cooked through.
