Homemade crème fraîche: Simply combine heavy cream and buttermilk for a superior taste and texture to store-bought sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons cultured buttermilk
Instructions:
  • In a glass jar, gently mix cream and buttermilk together. Cover securely with cheesecloth or a breathable material and allow it to thicken at room temperature (70 to 75 degrees F (21 to 24 degrees C)) for approximately 24 hours.
  • Combine ingredients until well mixed, then seal with the lid. Chill in the refrigerator for 24 hours before using.
