Bacon meatloaf burgers that cook up quickly for a delicious meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • pinch dried thyme
  • cayenne pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 0.66666668653488 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1 pound ground chuck beef (85% lean)
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, and cayenne pepper. Add breadcrumbs and chopped cooked bacon. Crumble in the ground beef and mix using your fingers until evenly combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 4 burgers using your moistened hands. Wrap them with plastic wrap and refrigerate until they are thoroughly chilled, which should take about 3 hours.
  • Prepare the outdoor grill by preheating it to medium-high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Grill burgers until they are cooked to your liking, turning occasionally. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145-150 degrees F (63 degrees C). Allow the burgers to rest briefly before serving.
