Savory Italian meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, seasoned with garlic, herbs, and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herb seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your ingredients.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and give it a light spray of cooking spray. Let bread crumbs soak in milk in a small bowl for 20 minutes.
  • Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Lower heat and cook until onion is very tender, about 15 more minutes.
  • Combine beef and pork in a large bowl with a gentle stir. Add onions, bread crumbs, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, black pepper, Italian herb seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Mix with a rubber spatula until well combined. Refrigerate covered for one hour.
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Shape mixture into golf ball-sized balls; place evenly spaced on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown and fully cooked, for 15 to 20 minutes.
