Cherry tube cake made from scratch, a summer must-have for the family.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups cherries, pitted and halved
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.66666668653488 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) while you prepare a 10-inch tube pan by greasing and lightly flouring it. In a bowl, gently toss cherries with 2 tablespoons of flour and set aside.
  • Combine the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until smooth. Gently fold in the cherries, then transfer the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for about 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a serving plate or wire rack.
