Delicious coffee cake made with your preferred pie filling and Bisquick® mix. Perfect for a quick and tasty treat!
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease the bottom and sides of a 15x10x1-inch pan or two 9-inch square pans with shortening or cooking spray. In a large bowl, vigorously mix all coffee cake ingredients, except the pie filling, for 30 seconds.
  • Spread a generous two-thirds of the batter (approximately 2 1/2 cups) in a 15x10-inch pan, or distribute one-third of the batter (around 1 1/4 cups) in each square pan. Evenly cover the batter with the pie filling, making sure it may not cover the batter completely. Use tablespoonfuls of the remaining batter and drop them over the pie filling.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly golden. While the cake bakes, mix glaze ingredients in a small bowl until smooth and thin. Once the cake is done, drizzle the warm coffee cake with the glaze. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
