Indulgent cherry cheesecake brownies - rich, creamy filling with tart cherries for a decadent twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.33333334326744 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon black onyx cocoa powder (from Savory Spice Shop®)
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1.75 cups morello cherries, drained and chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, use an electric mixer to blend cream cheese, sugar, flour, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • In a large bowl, mix sugar, flour, cocoa powder, black onyx cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, whisk together oil, eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then spread 3/4 of the batter into the baking pan.
  • Fold in 1/4 cup of chopped morello cherries into the brownie batter in the pan, then layer the remaining cherries on top. Pour the cream cheese filling over the cherries, followed by spreading the rest of the brownie batter on top. Use a knife to swirl the batter for a marbled effect.
  • Bake in the oven until the top is dry, edges have started to pull away from the pan, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 25-27 minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
