Chevapi couscous with basil and tzatziki

Quick and convenient meal for busy nights. Easy shopping, speedy cooking.
Ingredients:
  • 500g skinless beef sausages (chevapi)
  • 250g couscous
  • 500.00 ml firmly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 200g ctn tzatziki
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, sizzle the sausages in oil, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Place them on a plate, keeping the flavorful oil for later.
  • Place the couscous in a large heatproof bowl and pour over the water. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Then, stir in the reserved oil and season with salt and pepper. Fluff the couscous with a fork to separate the grains.
  • Diagonally slice the sausages thickly, then toss them with basil and couscous until combined.
  • Portion the flavorful couscous evenly into individual serving bowls and generously spoon the creamy tzatziki on top.
