Satisfying creamy chicken Alfredo with asparagus - perfect for a weeknight family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces dry fettuccini pasta
  • 2 cups 1 inch pieces fresh asparagus
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 cups half-and-half cream
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 0.75 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 pound cooked chicken breasts - cut into bite size pieces
Instructions:
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Add asparagus for the last 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and transfer to a large bowl.
  • Heat butter and half-and-half in a large saucepan over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Season with garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir in Parmesan cheese and chicken, heating through.
  • Coat pasta and asparagus with the sauce by pouring it over and tossing together.
