Delicious Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli Crescent Bites - a creative twist on a classic dish using flaky crescent roll dough.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups diced, cooked chicken meat
  • 1 cup fresh broccoli, chopped
  • 0.5 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
  • 0.25 cup diced onion
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg white, beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine the chicken, broccoli, red bell pepper, garlic, Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, dill weed, salt, almonds, and onion in a large bowl, tossing gently to mix everything together.
  • Lay out the crescent roll dough on a baking sheet, combining the perforated pieces to create one cohesive sheet. Cut one-inch strips towards the center on the long sides, leaving a 3-inch wide strip down the middle. Spread the chicken mixture over the center strip, then fold the side strips over the filling, alternating from each side, and pinch to seal.
  • Gently glaze the braided dough with the egg white and bake in the preheated oven until beautifully golden brown, for about 25 to 28 minutes.
