Cheesy bacon, chicken, pea skillet with Hamburger Helper™ - a delicious family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 4 strips bacon, cut in 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 package (20 oz) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ cheeseburger macaroni
  • 1 cup frozen sweet peas
Instructions:
  • In a large nonstick skillet, crisp up the bacon over medium-high heat for 4 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel using a slotted spoon. Then, add the chicken, bell pepper, and onion to the flavorful bacon drippings in the skillet. Cook over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
  • Combine milk, hot water, and sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper™ box in a pot. Add uncooked pasta and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in frozen peas, cover, and cook for an additional 5 to 6 minutes until pasta is tender and sauce thickens. Remove from heat and enjoy!
  • Sprinkle with cheese and crispy bacon, then cover and allow to sit for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is gooey and melted.
