Tender chicken breasts cooked in rich spaghetti sauce with peppers, mushrooms, and onions in a crockpot.
Ingredients:
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (such as Classico® Cabernet Marinara with Herbs)
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 4 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.5 yellow onion, minced
  • 0.5 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Assemble all the ingredients.
  • Add the chicken to the cozy, bubbling slow cooker.
  • Combine the spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, garlic, oregano, basil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, stirring until well mixed.
  • Cook the chicken on Low heat until it becomes tender, which should take about 6 to 8 hours.
