Cheesy chicken and rice casserole with buttery bread crumbs - a comforting family favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 cups milk
  • 6 ounces Muenster cheese, or more to taste, cubed
  • 4 ounces Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 cooked chicken breasts, chopped
  • 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, whisk together flour, salt, and pepper, then slowly pour in milk. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens and bubbles, about 5 to 10 minutes. Keep cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Muenster and Cheddar cheeses. Allow to sit briefly before stirring until the cheeses are fully melted.
