Creamy garlic-stuffed chicken combines flavors of Chicken Neptune and Chicken Kiev in a simpler recipe that can be scaled up for big gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - pounded to 1/4 inch thickness
  • 4 tablespoons garlic flavored cream cheese spread
  • 0.25 cup garlic and herb seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder in a cup. Season both sides of the chicken with the mixture. Place 1 tablespoon of cream cheese in the center of each piece and spread it out. Roll up the chicken tightly, tuck in the sides, and secure with toothpicks.
  • Spread the bread crumbs evenly on a plate or shallow bowl. Coat the chicken rolls thoroughly with the bread crumbs. Transfer to a plate, cover, and freeze for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, sizzle the butter and oil until hot. Sear the chicken rolls on all sides for approximately 5 minutes until golden. Move the rolls to a baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Drizzle the drippings over the rolls before serving.
