Hearty meat stew served over egg noodles or rice, perfect for cozy winter dinners.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1.5 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, 2 tablespoons of paprika, along with salt and pepper on a shallow plate. Coat chicken pieces by dipping them in the mixture.
  • In a heavy skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil. Brown chicken completely by cooking and stirring in the hot oil for about 5 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a bowl using a slotted spoon, while keeping the oil and drippings in the skillet.
  • Sauté onion and garlic in the drippings until tender, around 5 minutes. Add back the chicken to the skillet and pour in chicken stock. Stir in tomato paste until fully combined.
  • Bring the fragrant chicken stock to a vigorous boil, then lower the heat to a gentle simmer, cover the skillet, and let the flavors meld as the chicken cooks to perfection in just 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Combine sour cream, 1 teaspoon paprika, and cornstarch in a small bowl, then stir into the chicken mixture and cook until hot, for 2 to 3 minutes.
