Chicken Parmesan

Elevate Chicken Helper® crispy Parmesan chicken with pasta sauce and melted mozzarella for a quick and delicious Italian meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups hot water
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 box Chicken Helper™ crispy Parmesan chicken
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup tomato pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (1 oz)
  • Fresh basil leaves, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 2-quart nonstick saucepan, combine hot water, 1 1/2 cups milk, 2 tablespoons butter, sauce mix, and uncooked pasta from the Chicken Helper box. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly. Lower the heat and simmer uncovered for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender. Remove from heat and let the sauce thicken before serving.
  • Slice each chicken breast at an angle into 3 to 5 pieces, each about 1/2 inch thick.
  • In a medium bowl, gently coat the chicken with 1 tablespoon of milk to moisten it. Then, evenly coat the chicken with the seasoned crumbs from the Chicken Helper box.
  • In a 10-inch nonstick skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with oil over medium heat. Gently place chicken into the hot butter mixture and cook for 4 to 6 minutes until golden brown. Lower heat to medium-low, flip the chicken, and cook for another 4 to 6 minutes until golden brown and no longer pink in the center.
  • In a 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, heat pasta sauce uncovered on High for 1 to 2 minutes until hot. Then, place chicken on plates, spoon sauce over chicken, sprinkle with cheese, and serve with pasta.
