Easily swap crab for chicken in this quick and tasty twist on classic Rangoon, a new household favorite guaranteed.
Ingredients:
  • peanut oil for frying
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pinch onion powder, or to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
  • 1 dash soy sauce, or to taste
  • 1 pinch salt, or to taste
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 cup chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
Instructions:
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine cream cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth. Fold in chicken until well mixed.
  • Lay out wonton wrappers, dollop 1 teaspoon cream cheese in the center of each. Moisten edges with water, fold corner to corner to make triangles, and seal tightly.
  • Fry wontons in batches in hot oil until golden brown, for 2 to 4 minutes. Then, place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
