Indulgent lemon garlic cream sauce over chicken tenders, perfect for pasta or rice.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 pounds chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
  • 0.5 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 0.5 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 4 teaspoons water
Instructions:
  • Season the flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. Coat the chicken tenders in the seasoned flour mixture until fully coated.
  • In a large pan over medium-high heat, sizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil and butter. Sear the chicken until golden, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Set aside the chicken to keep warm.
  • Lower the heat to medium and introduce the remaining 1 tablespoon of delightful olive oil to the pan. Saute the garlic until it becomes fragrant, this should take around 30 seconds, ensuring not to let it burn.
  • Deglaze the pan with wine, scraping up the flavorful brown bits with a wooden spoon. Stir in chicken stock and simmer until sauce reduces, approximately 10 minutes. Finish by adding half-and-half, Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice, then simmer for an additional 10 minutes to thicken.
  • Mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then pour into the pan. Add chicken and heat for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
