Irresistible teriyaki chicken with asparagus and melted Swiss cheese - a family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup honey teriyaki sauce
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 16 spears fresh asparagus
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
Instructions:
  • Combine the aromatic honey teriyaki sauce and wine in a large bowl. Add the chicken and generously coat it with the flavorful marinade. Seal the bowl, allowing the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (ideally overnight for enhanced flavor).
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Pour out the marinade, then place the chicken breasts in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes until nearly cooked through.
  • Steam the asparagus in a pot with a steamer basket over boiling water for 5 minutes until tender.
  • Layer each chicken breast with 4 asparagus spears and top with Swiss cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and chicken juices run clear, about 10 minutes.
