Irresistible dumplings in a comforting, easy soup recipe that outshines Mom's.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups cut-up cooked chicken
  • 1 carton (32 oz) Progresso™ chicken broth (4 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 2/3 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/3 cup milk
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, bring all ingredients (excluding Bisquick mix and milk) to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine Bisquick mix and milk until a soft dough forms in a small bowl. Spoon 18 teaspoonfuls of dough onto boiling soup. If dumplings sink, gently bring them to the top with a slotted spoon. Lower heat to medium-low.
  • First, let the ingredients cook uncovered for 10 minutes to enhance their flavors, then cover the dish and continue cooking for an additional 15 minutes to allow all the ingredients to blend perfectly.
