Elevate leftover chicken by adding it to a delicious soup with dumplings and vegetables.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup frozen sweet peas
  • 3/4 cup frozen sliced or diced carrots
  • 1 cup cut-up cooked chicken (about 5 oz)
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken and mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups of milk, peas, carrots, chicken, and soup to a boil.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, 1/3 cup milk, and pepper in a medium bowl until just moistened. Drop the dough by 8 spoonfuls onto the boiling chicken mixture, then reduce heat to low.
  • First, cook your dish uncovered for 10 minutes to build those flavors. Then, cover and let it cook for another 10 minutes to ensure everything is perfectly tender. Before serving, finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a touch of vibrant color and flavor.
