Spicy round dumplings with a twist on classic chicken and dumplings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup frozen green peas
  • 3/4 cup frozen sliced or diced carrots
  • 1 cup cut-up cooked chicken (5 ounces)
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed creamy chicken mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups of milk, peas, carrots, chicken, and soup to a boil.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, 1/3 cup of milk, and pepper until a soft dough forms. Place 8 spoonfuls of dough on top of the chicken mixture.
  • Simmer gently for 10 minutes without a lid, then cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Finish by generously sprinkling with fresh parsley.
