Transform your homemade chili into a mouthwatering Chili Pasta Bake with gooey melted Cheddar on top.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package wide egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 15 fluid ounces water
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x14 inch baking dish.
  • 1. In a large pot, bring lightly-salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and continue to boil until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain in a colander in the sink.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef. Add onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent. Pour in tomato sauce, water, and red wine. Season with cumin, oregano, and cayenne pepper, then simmer. Mix in cooked pasta, transfer to a baking dish, and sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top.
  • Cook in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes until the cheese is gooey and the sauce has soaked into the dish.
