Indulge in succulent Chinese barbecue pork for a flavorful family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 800g pork neck
  • 82.50 ml char siu sauce
  • 28.60 gm honey
Instructions:
  • Slice pork in half lengthwise, then cut each half lengthwise again. Use a sharp knife to create a crisscross pattern on both sides of the pork. Transfer pork to a shallow ceramic dish with char siu sauce, ensuring it's coated well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
  • Preheat the grill on high. Set a wire rack in a roasting pan and pour cold water into the pan until it is 2cm deep. Put the pork on the rack, drizzle half of the honey over it, and place the pan under the grill about 10cm from the heat. Grill for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned. Turn the pork over, drizzle with the remaining honey, and grill for another 12 to 15 minutes or until just cooked through. Allow it to rest for 15 minutes, then thinly slice. Serve with rice and garlic spinach.
