Succulent pork spareribs in ginger soy sauce over rice for an irresistible meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound pork spareribs, cut into 3 inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger root, sliced
  • 5 green onions cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups water
  • 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
  • First, bring a generously sized pot of water to a vigorous boil. Next, gently place the spareribs into the pot and cook without a lid for 3 to 5 minutes. Drain the spareribs in a colander and set them aside for later use.
  • 1. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over high heat. Add ginger, green onions, and cinnamon. Sauté until fragrant. 2. Add spareribs and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. 3. Pour in water, soy sauce, sugar, and rice wine. Season with salt and pepper. 4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 1 hour or until spareribs are tender.
