Decadent choc-malt self-saucing puddings with hidden delicious bases.
Ingredients:
  • 150.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 33.00 gm malted milk powder
  • 32.50 gm cocoa powder
  • 141.90 gm caster sugar
  • 60g butter, melted
  • 193.13 gm milk
  • 165.00 ml Maltesers
  • 375.00 gm boiling water
  • Ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced and lightly grease four 1 1/2 cup-capacity oven-proof dishes.
  • In a bowl, sift together flour, malt powder, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Add sugar and make a well in the center. Pour in melted butter and milk. Mix until well combined. Gently fold in Maltesers. Divide the mixture into prepared dishes and sprinkle the remaining cocoa powder on top. Arrange the dishes on a baking tray and bake.
  • Gently pour boiling water over the mixtures using the back of a large metal spoon. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the tops are set. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before serving with ice cream. To prevent spills and for easier handling, place the oven-proof dishes on a baking tray before placing them in the oven.
