Festive chocolate truffles with a hint of licorice - perfect for gifting.
Ingredients:
  • 83.33 gm thickened cream
  • 100g soft licorice pieces, finely chopped
  • 3 licorice allsorts, thinly sliced, quartered
Instructions:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, mix cream and half of the chocolate. Microwave uncovered on MEDIUM (50%) for 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute with a metal spoon until smooth. Add finely chopped licorice, stir. Refrigerate covered for 3 to 4 hours until firm.
  • Prepare a tray lined with baking paper. Roll 2-teaspoon portions of the chocolate mixture into balls and place them on the tray. Freeze until they are firm.
  • Put the rest of the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave it uncovered on MEDIUM (50%) for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute with a metal spoon until it's melted and smooth. Dip truffles in chocolate using a fork, shake off excess chocolate. Place back on the tray. Add 1 piece of licorice allsort on top of each truffle. Chill for 20 minutes until firm. Serve and enjoy!
