Indulge in a cozy mug of homemade chocolate chai with a delicious blend of cinnamon and nutmeg, rivaling your favorite café's version!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 black tea bag
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, preferably Dutch-process
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • sweetened whipped cream
  • 2 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat, add tea bag, cover, and steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Discard the tea bag and swirl in sugar and cocoa. Heat over medium heat until nearly boiling. Stir in milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heat gently, avoiding boiling. Serve in mugs, garnished with whipped cream and cinnamon sticks.
