Easy 3-ingredient chocolate meringues with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, light and crunchy after baking.
Ingredients:
  • 4 egg whites
  • 2.25 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter, or as needed
  • 1 dash all-purpose flour, or as needed
  • 5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).
  • Use an electric mixer to beat egg whites in a glass or metal bowl on low speed until they become foamy. Slowly add sugar while continuing to beat until the meringue is smooth, shiny, and satiny, which should take about 10 minutes. Allow the meringue to stand while you coat 2 baking sheets with butter and flour.
  • Gradually sprinkle cocoa powder into the egg white mixture, adding 1/2 tablespoon at a time. Beat on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and uniformly colored.
  • Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 2 hours or until cookies easily come off the baking sheet.
