Chocolate pavlova cake

Indulge in a delectable mashup of pavlova and chocolate cake for the ultimate dessert delight.
Ingredients:
  • 535g pkt Rich Chocolate Cake
  • 60g softened butter or Meadow Lea Original Margarine
  • 2 extra-large eggs
  • 185ml water
  • 140ml water, extra
  • 125g pkt Pavlova Magic
  • 130g caster sugar
  • Whipped cream, to serve
  • Berries, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160C and prepare a 6cm-deep, 20cm springform cake pan by greasing and lining the base and sides with baking paper.
  • Mix White Wings Rich Chocolate Cake mix with butter/margarine, eggs, and water according to packet instructions. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine the extra water with White Wings Pavlova Magic mix. Beat according to the packet directions, gradually adding sugar, until the meringue is thick and glossy.
  • Take the cake out of the oven. Reduce the oven temperature to 140C. Spread half of the meringue mixture over the cake. Carefully cover the top of the cake with the meringue mixture. Bake for 25 minutes until the meringue is golden and crispy. Turn off the oven and leave the cake inside with the door closed for 30 minutes. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  • Place the cake on a serving plate and generously top it with whipped cream and fresh berries.
