Elevate classic peanut butter blossoms with chocolate-peanut butter dough and a dark chocolate kiss.
Ingredients:
  • Reynolds® Parchment Paper
  • 0.5 cup shortening
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • Dark chocolate "kiss" candies
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line two cookie sheets with Reynolds® Parchment Paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream the shortening and peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium-high speed for 30 seconds. Add the brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. Incorporate the egg, milk, and vanilla, mixing well. Gradually add the flour and cocoa powder, switching to a wooden spoon if needed to combine thoroughly.
  • Add the granulated sugar to a small bowl. Form the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll them in sugar to coat. Arrange the coated balls 2 inches apart on the cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are firm. Press a dark chocolate candy into the center of each cookie as soon as they come out of the oven. Transfer the cookies on parchment to a wire rack and let them cool completely.
