Decadent and indulgent cake that consistently wows. Perfect for a sweet tooth. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for best experience.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.75 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 0.75 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (14 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
  • 4 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and baking powder in a large bowl. Create a well in the center, then add melted chocolate, coffee, sour cream, and oil. Mix thoroughly and spread evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
  • Combine caramels and milk in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until melted, then stir until smooth. Using a wooden spoon, poke holes in the cake and pour in the caramel mixture.
