Indulge in a decadent chocolate poke cake made with boxed mix. Pour pudding over baked cake for ultimate moistness and flavor. Ooey, gooey, and irresistibly delicious. Perfect for family desserts or entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 box (4-serving size) chocolate fudge instant pudding and pie filling mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans).
  • Prepare and bake the cake following the instructions on the box for a 13x9-inch pan. Allow the cake to cool in the pan on a rack for 5 minutes.
  • Using a wooden spoon handle (1/4 to 1/2 inch in diameter), gently poke holes almost to the bottom of the cake, spacing them every 1/2 inch. Remember to wipe the spoon handle occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk for about 2 minutes until thick. Spread the pudding evenly over the cake, filling in the holes by working back and forth. A little bit of filling may sit on top of the cake. Run a knife along the sides of the pan to loosen the cake. Refrigerate for about 2 hours until chilled. Store the cake in the refrigerator with a loose cover.
